It is fitted with sling swivels and steel buttplate with compartment.

Mounted with a smooth full walnut full stock with matching hand guard with bayonet lug and stacking swivel on the front barrel band, a clear boxed "JFC" cartouche on the left side and "V" proof in the pistol grip area behind the trigger guard. High blade front sight and adjustable ladder rear sight graduated 1 to 20.
SPRINGFIELD ARMORY, 476426" followed by "CAL./.22" that was applied only to the Gallery Practice rifles. The rifle has the distinctive altered receiver side showing the small hole for the ejector, with the correct 22 caliber barrel with off-set chamber and bolt with auxiliary extractor for the. 22 caliber Gallery Practice rifles manufactured by Springfield in 1906-1907.
